Description | New chlorination facility utilizing on-site chlorine generation equipment to treat well water from the Otowi 1, Otowi 2, Pajarito 1, and Pajarito 3 wells. The chlorination facility will be located at the Pajarito 1 well site, located at approximately at the intersection of New Mexico State Road 4 (NM-4)and East Jemez Road. Chlorine generation equipment shall include the following items, and shall be provided as a package system from a single manufacturer: Water softener. Brine tank. Chlorine generation unit, capable of treating310-3595 GPM variable flows from wells. Solution storage tank. Dual pump package chemical feed system. Rectifier. Necessary filters, valves, fittings, appurtenances and controls specifically associated with the operation and functionality of the chlorine generation equipment needed to provide a complete an operable system. Building shall be a 210-sf precast concrete building with precast roof panels. The building shall have double doors on one end for access and equipment installation. Installing approximately 300-lineal feet of new 16-inch ductile iron waterline connecting the transmission piping from Pajarito. Well and Pajarito 1 Well into a single pipeline and crossing NM-4 utilizing jack and bore construction methods with a 42-inch steel casing. The 16-inch waterline shall connect to a new 16-inch waterline being constructed under a separate contract that runs along the east side of NM-4. 2-inch chlorine chemical feed linefrom the chlorination building to the injection point. The 2-inch chlorine feed line shall turn south along the east side of NM-4 and extend to the existing meter vault.3.The contractor shall install a new tap and injection quill within the meter vault for chlorine injection into the 16-inch transmission line.4.Extending potable water to the new chlorination building for chlorine generation purposes.E.Electrical components of the project shall include providing power to the Chlorination facility from the overhead power available at the Pajarito 1 Well site. Exterior wallmounted meter and transformer shall be utilized to provide a separate service from thePajarito 1 Well. The contractor shall provide instrumentation and controls as shown in the plans. F.Decommissioningand demolition of the existing chlorination building at the intersection of NM-4 and East Jemez Road |
