Description

The work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a new Municipal Hall and Police Station Building consisting of a single-story, wood-framed/masonry structure with asphalt-shingled wedged roofs, and face-brick cladding and fiber cement siding exterior with an approximate gross area of 3,177 SF. The structure provides a council chamber meeting room, offices for the Mayor, Chief Police Officer and Economic Development Director, in addition to rooms for interrogation, evidence, and file storage, gun safe, and kitchenette. In addition to the Municipal Building, a detached garage shed with approximately 576 SF, parking for 26 vehicles, including two accessible parking spaces, Contractor-designed retaining walls and other incidental related work. Period of Performance will begin on the same date as the issued Notice to proceed date. The Period of Performance for the project shall be 410 calendar days. The work is located in Dickenson County, Virginia near the town of Haysi on Lower Backbone Road on County Route 652 on Backbone Ridge, approximately one mile from the existing Municipal Building as indicated. The exact location will be shown by the Contracting Officer.
