Crawford County Bridge No. 19 Rehabilitation Project

1. Maintenance and protection of traffic - Detour. 2. Erosion and sediment pollution control. 3. Removal and proper disposal of portions of the existing bridge including, but not limited to the following: nail laminated timber deck, deteriorated timber plank abutment backwalls and steel tie rod diaphragms at beam ends (assume lead paint). 4. Construction of new reinforced concrete end diaphragms at each abutment to encase the ends of the existing beams. This work also includes: repairing/painting existing beam ends and reconstruction of the dirt/gravel approach roadways within the limits of end diaphragm construction to provide a smooth transition to the bridge. 5. Installation of a new nail laminated timber deck (deck approximately 42' long by 16' feet wide). 6. Construction of a new reinforced concrete toewall with underpinning along Abutment 1 and Wing A (upstream wing). 7. Installation of grouted rock protection within the areas of scour and excavation along Abutment 1, Wing A and the upstream channel bank beyond Wing A. 8. Miscellaneous concrete surface and crack repairs to deteriorated areas at Abutment 1 and Wings A and B. 9. Site restoration work.
