Description | Lane County will receive Bids for a Combined Contract, which includes, but is not limited to, the Addressable Fire Alarm System Replacement, and related work for the Lane County Juvenile facility, in Eugene, Oregon. Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis. Bidders shall provide an owners contingency of $10,000.00 for use of any changes from State Fire Marshals (SFM) review of the construction documents. If there are no required changes by the SFM the entire amount or the unused portion shall be refunded to the owner. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders are subject to and must comply with applicable state and federal antidiscrimination laws. All Bidders are required to obtain all necessary licenses and permits required to perform this work. Performance bond and labor and material payment bond covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, shall be submitted in duplicate to the Engineer, together with the executed Owner-Contractor Agreements, within ten (10) days after notification of award of the Contract. Such bonds shall be issued by a surety company acceptable to the Owner and properly licensed in the State of Oregon and shall be on AIA Document A312, latest edition. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the Bidding. |
