Description

Repair and installation of street signs and poles to help improve safety, effectiveness and quality of all roadways in the District. The project is presently intended to address the street signs currently backlogged. The Contractor(s) shall provide all materials, supplies, equipment, labor, and transportation necessary to provide the services described herein. Work shall include the repair, replacement, modification, installation or addition of signage, including the repair of all sign supports and sign faces, faded, missing, damaged, non-performing, and conflicting signs within the District. These signs include all signs (R-, W-, M-, and D-series and others), including non-MUTCD signs, parking signs, special signs, and sign supports on all the District roads. The roadway signs and posts shall meet and conform to the most current versions of the DDOT Standards and Specifications, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Standard Highway Signs, and Retroreflectivity requirements, as required by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
