Description | The PROJECT of which the WORK of the contract is a part titled Fire Station #18: Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement and is located at 575 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89119. The WORK is described in the project drawings and divisions 1 through 48 of the project manual. The “Work” consists of the removal and replacement of all existing vertical stacks, lateral sanitary sewer lines from below grade at level one to level three and all existing grease waste and vent lines through the rooftop area in the existing 3-story building of approximately 38,000 square feet. Construction includes all administrative work as required by Division 01 general requirements; Selective Demolition of existing gypsum finishes such as wallboard, lath and plaster, ceramic floor/wall tile, selective demolition of VCT flooring, x-ray scanning and trenching of interior and exterior concrete surfaces and utilizing vacuum or hand digging excavation methods to expose existing installed subsurface utilities, removal of existing fixtures, toilet partitions and equipment as shown on architectural plans and as required to access and remove sanitary waste and vent plumbing lines; installation of new sanitary waste and vent sewer lines throughout the building including below slab sanitary sewer. Construction also includes restoration of all affected finishes including, but not limited to wall and ceiling finishes; reinstallation of plumbing and/or electrical fixtures and equipment; installation of restroom countertops as specified; installation of new access doors; and all patching/painting of work areas as shown on architectural plans and specified herein. Construction also includes the installation of temporary controls and separation barriers per Division 01 specifications as required to completely isolate construction activities from the unaffected areas of the building via a sealed envelope of plastic walls and ceilings and the utilization of air scrubbing devices; the temporary capping or bypass plumbing fixtures installations as required to keep the upper, lower, and adjacent restrooms and related fixtures operational during all construction phases during normal business hours. New walls and floor penetrations are to receive new firestopping to contain smoke and flame spread through these openings and maintain current fire ratings. Existing firestopping damaged or dislodged during work shall be repaired to meet currently adopted codes and standards. Contractor must adhere to the Project Phasing Plan incorporated within the Project Documents and prepare a detailed project schedule of activities accordingly. Work Hours: The General Contractor will perform construction activities during the following items: Sunday through Saturday starting from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. All dates and times will be outlined in the project schedule as required per Section 01 32 16. The contractor shall notify the Owner’s Representative when changes to the submitted working days/hours are deemed necessary. |
