Description

In 2021, an addition was completed at the gymnasium at the MS/HS campus. The original gymnasium structure needs to be painted to match the new addition. The successful lowest Bidder will: Prep all the CMU block walls to accept the new paint. Power wash and clean all walls before paint can be applied. Scrape any loose or peeling paint. Repair and hand or power sand surface flaws as necessary. Special wash on mildew affected areas. Remove old caulk and putty from windows and doors and replace with new putty and paintable exterior caulk. Paint the exterior masonry block as well as all window frames and trim, metal doors and door frames, eaves, fascia, exterior doors and garage doors. Use drop cloths to protect bushes, flowerbeds, lawns and sidewalks. If applicable, gently tie up and cover shrubs to prevent them from rubbing against fresh paint. Apply paint to include at minimum two (2) coats of paint or as needed to provide a uniform painted surface. Prime any bare surfaces or other needed areas. The paint scheme will include colors chosen by the District to the attention of Carolyn Mahar, Assistant Superintendent for Business. The apparent lowest Bidder will provide paint specifications for the paint to the Rye Neck District for approval. The application of paint shall include at minimum two (2) coats of paint or as needed to provide a uniform painted surface. Clean up will be conducted on a daily basis and all paint cans and other materials will be removed from the premises for disposal. The schedule will start on June 24, 2022 and be extended to August 5, 2022. The successful lowest Bidder will have five (5) days to provide the necessary insurance documents to the district This is a prevailing rate job.
