Description | The Palomar College Athletics Stadiums project is located on the District's main campus located at 1140 West Mission Road, San Marcos, CA 92069. The project Architect is HMC Architects. The project consists of new Softball and Football Stadiums including demolition of existing softball field and tennis courts, temporary gravel parking lot, fencing and other playing field items. Construction of the new softball field includes seating for approximately 200 people, fencing, batting cages, bullpens, masonry dugouts, scoreboard, masonry press box and a single-story masonry softball fieldhouse. The football stadium includes a new synthetic turf playing surface, scoreboard, 3 story masonry press box with elevator, seating for approximately 3,500 people, single story masonry football storage building and associated sitework. Each bid shall conform and be responsive to the bid plans, specifications and bid documents. Each bid submittal shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, and made payable to the Palomar Community College District, in the face amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety company that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, and is authorized by the State of California, and all documents required by Code of Civil Procedure. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or to reject any one or more items on a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids or in the bidding process.
