Description | **As of April 28, 2023 , this project has been awarded to Silver Spur Construction, awarded amount is $966,053.50** The scope of this project is to provide all the labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to construct the Birch Area Sewer Improvements Project, complete as described in the plans and specifications. The project generally includes the construction of approximately 1,960 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer line including 7 manholes, 34 lateral connections, fittings, removing and replacing three sections of concrete waterway, etc. The purpose of the conference is to discuss the scope of the project, bidding requirements, and to acquaint the bidders with the site conditions. Detailed technical questions can be submitted in writing and will be formally answered, if warranted, by addenda at a later time. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be legally binding. The Project Site is located in the southern part of the City of Moab, Utah. The following outlines the schedule for The Project based upon award of the entire project. The Work shall be substantially completed on or before July 25, 2023, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before August 7th, 2023. Time is of the essence. The Owner understands the tight construction schedule for this project. OPENING OF BIDS: Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price payable to the Owner as a guarantee that the Bidder, if his Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, provide evidence of insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price. ADDRESS AND MARKING OF BID: The envelope enclosing the Bid shall be sealed and addressed to City of Moab Recorders Office. The envelope shall be plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the Bidder and shall bear the words "Bid for," followed by the title of the Contract Documents for the Work and the date and hour of opening of Bids. The certified or cashier's check, or Bidder's bond shall be enclosed in the same envelope with the Bid. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of Bids shall be directed to the Engineer and copied to the City representative for the Project via email. Email: cwilliams@moabcity.org It shall be understood, however, that no interpretations of the drawings or specifications will be made except in writing signed by the Engineer, nor will any "or equal" products be considered for approval prior to award of a contract. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner may, at reasonable times, inspect the part of the plant or place of business of a contractor or any subcontractor, which is related to the performance of any contract awarded or to be awarded by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in a Bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner. |
