Yankovich-Miller Hill Road Reconstruction and Multi-Use Path

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is pursuing safety improvements to Yankovich Road in Fairbanks, Alaska. DOT&PF is working to reconstruct and widen Miller Hill & Yankovich Roads to improve safety for all users. Construction is planned for 2024. We plan to widen both roads to 10-foot lanes and 5-foot shoulders. In addition to road widening, project activities include: o Selective tree cutting to maintain most of the vegetative cover o Keep similar vertical and horizontal curves (we are not flattening out the road) o Ongoing right-of-way acquisition The project team looks forward to meeting with you and answering your questions about the project.
