Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway. Old Hammond Highway is a two-lane roadway with open ditches on each side. There are no pedestrian accommodations. The corridor is mainly commercial. The proposed project is planned to include a two-lane boulevard with sidewalks on each side. The MOVEBR Transportation and Infrastructure Improvements Program is the most significant transportation infrastructure investment in East Baton Rouge Parish history. The 1/2 cent sales tax proposition was approved by the voters of East Baton Rouge Parish on December 8, 2018. The tax became effective on April 1, 2019 and will continue for 30 years until March 31, 2049.
