Description

Proposed project is located along the Bushkill Creek, starting 700 feet upstream of the Watson Hollow Road bridge crossing, and extending downstream a total of 2,500 feet. The project reach is characterized by general stream bank instability due to sediment deposition from upstream sources, historic dredging, and the construction of sidecast berms from the dredged sediment. The three primary goals of the proposed project are to create a more stable stream reach that is better connected to its floodplain, to provide better conveyance of sediment loads and flood flows safely through the project reach, and to install abutment protections to the Watson Hollow bridge.
