Description

The Department of Forensic Science Eastern Laboratory is replacing two existing cooling towers located on the facility roof. The project area is approximately 8,370 GSF and the work includes demolition and replacement of two 650 ton cooling towers, their support platform, associated piping in the cooling tower well, and replacement of the cooling tower well roofing and insulation. Electrical work for the project includes reconnecting the cooling towers and their control devices and providing a new fused disconnect wired to the main service connection for connection of a temporary chiller. The scope of work also includes providing a temporary 300-ton air-cooled chiller to provide cooling for the facility while the cooling towers are unable to operate.
