Description | The Contractor shall furnish and install the steel structures and metal bussing, all as specified and shown on the Drawings. The Contractor shall furnish all bolts and miscellaneous hardware to mount equipment to structural steel and to connect equipment together. The substation structure shall be fabricated and assembled to meet standard practices and specifications as recommended by American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and in a manner so that basic electric design clearances shown and noted on the Drawings will be met, and no where shall such clearances be less than recommended by NEMA and ANSI Standards at such points not expressly shown or noted. You are invited to bid on a general construction contract. The Contract provides for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the Grand Traverse Substation Split Project. The Owner will furnish certain material as listed in the Project Manual to the Contractor. The Contractor will be required to pickup and transport all material which is supplied from the Owner's warehouse to the project site and also be responsible for receipt and unloading of large material at the Project site(s). A. The requirements of this section apply to all other sections of Division 2. B. The work shall be executed in conformity with best practice and shall accommodate itself to the project. The Contractor shall consult the Drawings, shop drawings, and field layouts of other trades and shall be governed accordingly in the laying out and installation of his work. C. The Drawings are diagrammatic and indicate the general arrangement of systems and work included in the contract. |
