Description | For a one-year period beginning May 1, 2022 with an optional one-year extension at the same unit prices contained in the Bid. The estimated quantities are not guaranteed and payment to the Successful Bidder shall be based on the actual quantities of work requested by the District and successfully completed. This contract will include furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and safety devices during the contract period, for completing the restoration of asphalt surfaces in the Northern Kentucky Water District service area. These restoration areas are locations where the District or the District’s Contractor has made repairs to the water main or other appurtenances. Restoration areas may have a depth of 8” to 10” and range as small as 1’ X 1’ to larger (< 600 sq. ft.). These restoration areas may have a steel road plate and/or cold patch covering the hole. Any cold patch removal from around the outside of the steel road plate will be considered incidental and does not fall under cold patch removal. Limits of the repair may be located by District’s Staff. Restoration areas larger than 600 sq. ft. will be individually bid. The Contractor is responsible for removing cold patch, any damaged pavement and/or steel traffic plates, trim off edges, haul off excess material, adjust valve box to grade if needed, apply tack coat, install asphalt, compact, and seal edges. Traffic plates will need to be returned to the District’s Warehouse located at 2835 Crescent Springs Road as requested by the District. Plates shall be unloaded using equipment that lifts the plates and sets them in their proper storage location. |
