Description | Harrison Avenue Potable Water Main Upgrade 1) Sheeting and shoring 2) Clearing, grubbing and grading 3) Replacement and/or repair of existing utilities damaged during construction 4) Trench excavation, including necessary pavement removal, rock removal, and muck removal 5) Ditch and swale restoration, including sodding where determined to be warranted by the Engineer 6) Dewatering and disposal of surplus water, including permitting if required 7) Adjusting existing valve boxes, manhole frames and covers and other structures 8) Testing and placing system in operation 9) Any material and equipment required to be installed and utilized for the tests 10) Maintain the existing quality of service during construction 11) Appurtenant work as required for a complete and operable system 12) Record drawings and record documents 13) Survey required for construction staking or quantity determinations 14) Maintenance of traffic 15) Worksite health and safety 16) Mowing and maintenance of grass stands during construction A cashier's check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Panama City, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid on the form provided by the City. Direct all inquiries regarding this IFB in writing to Purchasing Division representative Johnnie Gallegos at jgallegos@panamacity.gov. The deadline to submit questions is Friday, January 27, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., CT. All written inquiries and responses will be included in an addendum and posted on the City's website and Bonfire Portal. Interested parties are encouraged to register with the City's Bonfire Portal, preferably, or use the City's website and subscribe to the "Notify Me" feature to ensure notification of postings. It is the sole responsibility of the proposer to determine if any addenda have been issued. The successful bidder will be required to submit a list of their subcontractors for approval before award of contract. The person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a bid or a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract on a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017, for Category Two for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list. The Contractor shall comply in every respect with all applicable laws, regulations, and building and construction codes of the Federal Government, the State of Florida, the County of Bay, the City of Panama City, and shall obtain all such occupational licenses and permits as shall be prescribed by law. Contractor must ensure employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The City of Panama City reserves the right to reject any one or all bids, or any part of any bid, to waive any informalities in any bid, and to award a contract deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. |
