Refinishing of the Gymnasium Floors at Canyon View High School

The Iron County School District intends to sand, paint, seal and finish approximately 19,000 square feet of both the “Main” and “Auxiliary” gymnasiums at Canyon View High School. It is anticipated that the awarded contractor will sand to raw wood and apply two (2) coats of Bona Sport Seal, apply paint and logos as directed by documentation and pre-bid conference, including but not limited to, all Basketball and Volleyball lines in accordance with all UHSAA requirements. The “Main” gymnasium will have the inside of the 3-point lines stained a color determined by ICSD personnel. Auxiliary Gymnasium will have all game lines replaced as they currently stand. Staining of the key matching the color of the main gym stain. Please refer to all documentation within this IFB. Additional items include: 1. The successful bidder will be responsible for removing grills, athletic equipment, etc. as determined in the pre-bid conference. 2. Vendor is responsible to replace or repair any floor boards that are damaged. 3. The vendor must use approved sealant and approved finish per manufacturer’s specifications. 4. The game line must be painted with the paint colors and configuration to comply with all sport association requirements and be approved by Hunter Shaheen, ICSD Facilities Supervisor prior to application (Paint must be compatible with finish system and must be applied between seal and first coat offinish.) 5. After the floors are completed the successful bidder will be responsible for the reinstallation of any grills, athletic equipment, etc. as needed. 6. All clean up and disposal will be the responsibility of the vendor.
