Description

The project consists of furnishing and installing, including labor, equipment, parts, materials, and other work incidental for the expansion of the existing landfill gas collection system at the Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority Landfill. The facility is located on Atomic Road near Jackson, South Carolina. The project includes the expansion of the existing landfill gas collection system within the landfill footprint (in waste). The project includes the installation of approximately twenty-nine (29) vertical extraction gas wells, approximately 12,145 linear feet of below grade gas piping, installation of a 24" condensate sump and appurtenances, three (3) vacuum connections to existing leachate side slope risers, removal and installation of approximately ten (10) pneumatic down well pumps, and related work. The LFG collection system expansion work must be substantially complete as defined in the General Conditions within ninety-eight (98) calendar days of the date fixed by the Notice to Proceed and shall achieve final completion within one hundred twelve (112) calendar days of the date fixed by the Notice to Proceed. To qualify, all bids shall be submitted using bid forms contained in the Contract Documents. Incomplete or segregated bids will not be accepted. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a cashier's check in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid by the CONTRACTOR, payable to the Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority, Inc., as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract within the time provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid, Performance and Payment bonds are required for this project. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after submission; any bid withdrawal shall be as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Only complete sets of Bid Documents will be issued. Cost includes standard US Mail delivery. Please add $40 for priority overnight Federal Express delivery service or U.S. Mail Express delivery or provide Bidders Federal Express or UPS account number. Carlson Environmental Consultants, PC and the OWNER are not responsible for the timeliness or guaranteed delivery of Bid Documents by third-party carriers. At the bidder's request and separate expense, the bidder may choose to use other means of courier services. The OWNER reserves the right to accept alternates in any order or combination, to negotiate with the Bidder it accepts in any manner or form that is in the best interest of the OWNER, or to award the Contract to a Bidder other than the low Bidder. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any bids from any Bidder currently engaged in litigation against or a contractual dispute with the OWNER.
