Description

P.I. No.: 122900 This solicitation is open to potential bidders who currently hold prequalification status for Right of Way Property Management Services issued by GDOT and who hold a current prequalification certificate. Potential bidders who have not been prequalified by GDOT should visit www.dot.ga.gov. Once on the website select "Prequalification". On the Prequalification page select "Specialty Services" and the Right of Way tab to obtain the application, information and instructions. A bid response received by any firm not currently listed on GDOT's prequalification listing will not be considered for award for this solicitation. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking a PRE-QUALIFIED firm interested in providing Abatement and Demolition of Improvements, Structures or Other Encumbrances in the Right of Way or Easement Areas. GDOT will select the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder based on analysis of bid prices received. The Department will accept written questions via email only. Please submit all questions to Trina E. Williams at TrWilliams@dot.ga.gov. Written questions will be accepted until October 19, 2022 by 2:00 PM Bidders are responsible for checking this solicitation for any/all updates. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure that its bid(s) arrive on or before the specified time. No bids will be accepted after the time set for receipt. CAUTION: A RESTRICTION OF COMMUNICATION IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS PROJECT. From the advertisement date of this solicitation until a successful respondent is selected and the selection is announced, respondents are not allowed to communicate about this solicitation or scope with any staff of GDOT, including the Commissioner, and Board Members, except for submission of questions as instructed in the RFQC, or as provided by any existing work agreement(s). For violation of this provision, GDOT reserves the right to reject the submittal of the offending Respondent. Questions due to GDOT 10/19/2022 2:00 PM Questions about any aspect of this solicitation, or the project, shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to Trina E. Williams, Name, email: TrWilliams@dot.ga.gov The deadline for submission of questions relating to this solicitation is the time and date shown in the (Schedule of Events- Section III). From the issue date of this solicitation until a successful bidder is selected and the award is made official and announced, respondents are subject to the Restriction of Communication in Section I.B. Prior to contract award only the low bidding firm will be required to provide a Performance Bond to the Department in the amount of 100 percent (%) of the total bid price. A bid security bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid price is required to be submitted with the bid response package. The Department acknowledges that said bid security has been submitted in the form of bid bond, or certified check made payable to the Georgia Department of Transportation. The undersigned agrees that the bid security is the proper measure of liquidated damages which the Department will sustain by the failure of the Undersigned to execute this agreement as required if this proposal is accepted by the Department. The Department shall return the amount of the bid security bond cashier check, bid bond or certified check to the awarded Contractor once the project has been successfully completed, accepted and paid by the Department. The Department shall return the bid security bond cashier check or certified check to the Respondent(s) not receiving an award.
