Los Angeles Avenue West of First Street Bridge - CP60000010 - City Of Simi Valley

Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Simi Valley, California. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel. This project includes replacing existing bridge and reconstruction of the approaches on Los Angeles Avenue, 0.1 miles west of First Street.A feasibility study is approved by Caltrans for the deficiency of the bridge prior to determining the design scheduled to begin in September 2020. Funding is from the Caltrans Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program. This project is currently in the City of Simi Valley's FY 2023-2027 CIP. Per the owner, as of July 1, 2022, this project is idle at this time. The owner states that a timeline for design and construction has not been determined but will not be happening in 2022. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
