Description | DESCRIPTION: This project will include Citywide curbside yard waste collection. Yard waste includes brush, tree limbs, shrub trimmings, bagged leaves, and pine needles from each resident city-wide. Mulching/Chipping all debris. Debris can be dumped at Wastewater Treatment Plant. CONTRACT TIME: 45 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: $40.00 per day beyond the 45-calendar day Contract Time. Each Bidder's proposal shall be made on forms furnished in the Contract Documents, and must be accompanied by a security consisting of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid amount, and made payable to the CITY OF SEDONA, ARIZONA. In the event the successful Bidder, within ten (10) calendar days after award of the Contract, fails to enter into a Contract or fails to post payment and performance bonds satisfactory to the City insuring the faithful fulfillment of the Contract as required by law, the security deposit on this bid shall be forfeited to the City. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish two (2) bonds. One (1) bond, to become effective upon award of the Contract, shall be a Performance Bond substantially in the form in the bid documents, and shall be in a sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price including any additions to the Contract. The Bond shall be effective throughout the collection period, including a two (2) year warranty period. The successful Bidder shall also furnish a Labor and Material Payment Bond, substantially in the form attached, to become effective upon award. Said Labor and Material Bond shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. The successful Bidder will be determined on the basis of the lowest responsive and responsible Proposal. The City of Sedona, Arizona reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive or not to waive any informalities, or irregularities in the Proposals received, and to accept a Proposal which in its judgment best serves the interests of the City.
