Description

These services will provide efficient vegetation reduction for habitat enhancement projects to create improved fire lines and roads, or to install fence ROWs, for protection and improvement of natural systems. Management plan goals for all District lands include the restoration, maintenance and protection of native vegetation, fish and wildlife communities and their diversity. Vital to achieving these core missions is the invasive plant management program which is responsible for the control of nuisance upland vegetation on all District owned conservation areas/restoration areas, including multiple water management areas, 111 miles of federal levees, 100 miles of non-federal levees, 12 major water control structures and six pumping stations.
