Description | The City of Panama City Beach invites qualified firms or individuals to submit proposals concerning the development of property located at 323 Alf Coleman Road, Panama City Beach, Florida The property was initially acquired to serve as the location for a stormwater pond to support the improvement of Alf Coleman Road, but is no longer needed for that purpose. The City Council of the City of Panama City Beach serves, ex-officio, as the governing body of the City of Panama City Beach Community Redevelopment Agency. The City desires to use this property for the relocation of its east end Fire Station. The City, through its General Fund, proposes to pay $960,000 to the Citys Front Beach Road Redevelopment Fund, based on a March 2022 appraisal of the property. The City Council of the City of the City of Panama City Beach, Florida, will consider the conversion of the Property for this use at its regularly scheduled meeting to be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Council Chambers at City Hall, 17007 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach, Florida 32413. Any such offer must include a description of the proposed development that would be built on the Property and documentation establishing the legal ability of the proposer, together with credible evidence of the availability of funding to complete the development proposed. The City may accept such proposals as it deems to be in the public interest and in furtherance of Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes. Any appeal of the City Councils decision may be made to the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Bay County, Florida. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered, such person will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.
