Description | These bids are invited for the drainage improvements to Grierson Street Drainage Bas Jackson County, Mississippi. All Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a satisfactory Bid bond executed and an acceptable surety, must be submitted in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. All Bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a prime or subcontractor to do any work, m with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972, by having a current Certificate of Res from the State Board of Public Contractors. All bid envelopes should contain the bidder's name and mailing address on the outs envelope and also specify the name of the bid item. Bidder's certificate of responsibility number or a statement that the bid inside is less than S shall appear on the outside or exterior of the envelope or container of such bids, failing v bid shall not be opened or considered. The current Certificate of Responsibility Number shall be indicated on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope in order to be opened. All Bids submitted for $50,000 or less shall be so marked on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a prime or subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance or related work, must comply with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972. Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and have a current Certificate of Responsibility from the State of Mississippi Board of Contractors establishing his Classification as to the value and type of construction on which he is authorized to bid. The scope of work for this project shall require a Contractor to be classified in the following category: Municipal and Public Work or Highway Street and Bridge Construction. Each Bidder shall write his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope before it can be opened. The outside of the envelope should also bear the Bidder's name, address, and name of the project for which the Bid is submitted. The Jackson County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to award said bid in the best interest of the County. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
