Water Mains Expansion West of Nantucket Airport

The project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of new 8-inch and 12-inch diameter C900 PVC water mains and appurtenances within Lover's Lane, Okorwaw Avenue, Monohansett Road, Webster Road, Skyline Drive, and Nobadeer Way in Nantucket, MA, including installing new water service connections, fittings, valves, hydrants, connections to the existing water system, pressure testing and chlorination, road and right of way restoration, furnishing and installing drainage basins, miscellaneous work and cleanup, and all work required in the Contract Documents. The work under this Contract is funded in part by the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program. The Town has separately procured many of the materials required for this project including pipe, valves, fittings, hydrants, water services and appurtenances and this material will be stored on the island for the Contractor to pick up and deliver to the project site. Miscellaneous materials required to complete the project are the Contractor's responsibility. The list of materials procured by the Town are included in the Bid Documents. The Contract Time shall be 410 Calendar Days commencing twenty days following the Effective Date of this Agreement, with all construction activities necessary to fully complete the work executed within 268 calendar days or December 31, 2023 whichever occurs first, excluding final paving. Final paving shall be completed no later than May 24, 2024. No work is allowed during the summer shutdown period extending between June 30th and September 11th.
