Yard Waste Pick Up Services

For Yard Waste Pick Up Services - Start Date: April 18, 2022 - Close Date: November 11, 2022. This RFP does not include refuse pick up. It is up to the selected contractor to dispose of the collected yard waste in an acceptable manor (for example Earth Conservancy drop off location in Newport Township) and shall not dispose of the yard waste in any manner that is not consistent with the rules and regulations as set forth by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, DEP, etc,) The Township of Plains accepts grass clippings with its yard waste collections. All yard waste, leaves, garden debris, and logs of 6" in diameter or less will be accepted on an "as is" condition and residents are aware that their yard waste must be in containers and the branches bundled. The days of collection will coincide with the collection of DPW garbage collection dates, which are Monday through Thursday; a copy of the streets in the township with the collection days needs to be obtained by calling the DPW department director Mr. Jeff Gustinucci at 570-760-2105 or email at jgustinucci@plainstownship.org.
