Description | to furnish Dubois County, Indiana for each line or class of materials for an unspecified number of items at a fixed price for the following supplies, materials and equipment for the use of the Department of Highways and other County uses of Dubois County, Indiana for the year 2023. Actual quantities purchased can be greater or less than those specified in this bid notice. Item 1: Pipe - corrugated aluminized steel, Type II, 2,500 feet or less. Give illustration of net prices per foot for 2 x 1/2 - 12, 15 and 18- 16 ga; 24 and 30- 14 ga; 36, 42 and 48- 12 ga. For bid bond or certified check purposes use 100 ft. of each size of pipe. Item 2: Corrugated polyethylene smooth interior pipe, 2,500 feet or less. Give illustration of net prices per foot for 12, 15, 18, 24, 30, 36 and 48pipe that is compatible to the ADS Brand. This is to provide consistency to the County culvert system. All pipes must meet AASHTO specifications and have a minimum stick length of 20 feet. Prices shall include cost of couplers or bell and spigot connections. For bid bond or certified check purposes use 200 ft. for all sizes of pipe except 15 use 700 ft. Item 3: Geotextile 10 rolls or less. Give illustrations of net price per roll for: Woven fabric made up of polypropylene fibers 12.5 feet wide, 6.5 oz/sy, 500 sy per roll. Nonwoven fabric made up of polypropylene fibers 15 feet wide, 8.0 oz/sy, 500 sy per roll. Item 4: Ready-mixed concrete - Class A, B and C, to meet INDOT Standard Specification, Section 702. 1,500 cubic yards or less. Item 6: Hot Mix Asphalt - base, intermediate and surface. 5,000 tons or less. To meet INDOT Standard Specifications, Section 402. FOB mixing plant. Item 7: Cold Mix Asphalt - 3,000 tons or less. To meet INDOT Standard Specifications, Section 403 a. FOB mixing plant b. FOB County Highway Garage Item 8: Crushed Stone - all sizes, in bin at quarries. 60,000 tons or less. Item 9: Crushed Stone - all sizes. a. Stockpiled, FOB Dubois County Highway Department Garage, 20,000 tons or less. b. Spread on county roads. 10,000 tons or less. Specify price for each of the twelve (12) Dubois County Townships. All items to be delivered in sizes and quantities as ordered from time to time, as needed, by the Supervisor, County Highway Department and Sanitation Department. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to Treasurer, Dubois County, in the amount of 10% of bid. Each item bid must be on a separate bid Form No. 95 and in separate envelopes designating the item number. Bid bond or certified check covering all bids to be included in envelope containing the lowest item number bid if more than one item is bid. All bids, unless otherwise specified, shall be considered a firm bid for the entire contract. Bids shall be submitted on prescribed forms. Bid forms obtainable from Dubois County Highway Department. Item Number 6 and 7 are not considered firm bids. Bidder shall have the right to increase or decrease the contract unit price in an amount equal to the bidder's increase or decrease in cost of materials and supplies occurring subsequent to the date on which such bid is submitted (hereinafter referred to as base date) to the board having authority to award contracts. Any increase or decrease in the bidder's cost of materials and supplies after the base date shall be determined monthly and shall be verified by proper documents furnished to the responsible awarding board which shall include proof of price to the bidder from the bidder's source of supply. Bidder may reserve the right to allocate its product to its customers in fair and equitable manner, if necessary, due to the reduction of the allocation from the source of supply to the bidder in accordance with any directives for mandatory allocation issued by an appropriate agency of the federal government. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of the bids, for a period of 30 days after the scheduled time of opening of the bids. |
