Description | Provide for wildfire hazard reduction and improved wildlife habitat. The majority of this area was chained following a wildfire; therefore, the majority of pinyon pine and juniper is downed (i.e., laying on ground) in the area. All downed (i.e., laying on the ground) trees and branches (burned and chained), all standing live and dead pinyon and juniper trees and saplings will be mechanically removed/shredded with a wheeled or tracked MECHANICAL MULCHING/SHREDDER (Bullhog). The Northern Little Valley project is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Beaver, Utah. Elevations range from 6,500 to 8,000 feet within the project site. |
