Description

Description: The Project consists of demolition and disposal of the existing parking lot and site amenities; construct a new parking lot; backfill and site grading; site drainage; storm water management; storm drain; landscape planting; install a 5ft boardwalk; install concrete paths and other peripheral work as fully described and detailed in the Bid Documents. Refer to the contract documents for a complete description of the work. The successful bidder shall be responsible to maintain, access during construction for the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center Building, access to Piney Narrows Marina, access for the normal operation of the adjacent boat ramp, set up of erosion and sediment control, and complete all other work as specified in the contract documents. The Contractor shall coordinate his operations with the County and shall not begin any work until he receives a formal notice to proceed from the County. Project: Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center Site Improvement Project, for the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County, Maryland. The site is located adjacent to Route 50, at the end of Piney Narrows Road in Chester, Maryland. The envelope labeled "Bid Proposal" must include all items related to price and requirements in the Project Booklet for the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center Site Improvement Project, and shall meet all of the requirements specified in the Instruction to Bidders. Any ADDENDA issued shall be issued electronic posting on the Queen Annes County Procurement and eMaryland Marketplace Advantage portal. See links listed above. It also is intended that any ADDENDA will also be emailed to known plan holders. However, it is the BIDDERS responsibility to ensure receipt of all ADDENDA Bidders are directed to the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders for additional information governing the bidding process. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after actual date of the opening price bid proposal. Bids to remain open for ninety (90) days duration after (price) bid opening.
