| Description | The work will be performed in multiple phases for the replacement of ozone generation and feed systems at the Tipton, Plane Nine and Mill Run water treatment facilities. The project includes demolition of ozone-related equipment and installation of new liquid oxygen (LOX) storage and feed gas preparation and piping systems, new ozone generators, closed-loop cooling water system, side-stream injection and mixing systems, nitrogen-boost system, ozone gas destructors, mechanical piping, electrical work, instrumentation and control systems and all required appurtenances. The ozone generating equipment system and liquid oxygen equipment systems will be furnished by the Altoona Water Authority for installation and/or interconnection by the Contractor under separate manufacturer procurement contracts. |
