Description | Reference Number 0000331230 The City of Stonecrest owns and operates Browns Mill Aquatic Center at 2132 Browns Mill Rd, Stonecrest, GA. 30038. The City is seeking a qualified contractor to paint the Aquatic Center. General Requirements - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % *The City of Stonecrest reserves the right to reject all bids to waive technicalities and informalities and to make an award in the best interest of the City of Stonecrest. Scope of Work 1.) Metal Roofing - ROOFING on all Seven (7) Buildings in the Water Park Area: o Prepare & paint the metal roofing with two coats. o Prep - Pressure wash to remove dirt, grease, or other contaminants from the surface. The surface to be coated must be dry. o Apply 3rd coat if needed for color change. (e.g., White over blue) o Apply a 4th coat if needed for color change. (e.g., Red over blue). 2.) Building Exteriors - (7) Buildings in the Water Park Area o Prepare & paint (2) two coats to the Stucco Siding, Stucco Columns, and Beadboard Ceilings. o Prepare & paint (2) two coats on both sides of all doors and door frames. o Prep - Pressure wash to remove dirt, grease, or other contaminants from the surface. The surface to be coated must be dry. 3.) Interior Floors - (7) Buildings in the Water Park Area o Grind concrete floors to remove the existing clear coat sealer and provide a profile suitable for new coat adhesion. o Paint the floors with a 2-part ("Epoxy"-type) finish with a PVC Flake texture added for slip resistance and clear-coat sealer. o Prep- Abrade surface using a concrete floor grinder to provide a surface roughness equivalent to 60 grit sandpaper or coarser. Sweep, vacuum, and blow away the remaining surface dust. 4.) 2-story Slide Structural Supports and Staircase / Railings. o Prepare & paint (4) four coats to the metal structural supports, staircase, and railings on the 2-story slide area. o Prep - Pressure wash. Remove all loose paint. The surface to be coated must be dry, clean, and free of grease, oil, and other foreign materials. 5.) 2-story Slides - 2-story Slides in the Water Park Area o Prepare & paint four coats to the Slides (interior and exterior) using four colors (red, white, gray, and black). o Prep - Pressure wash. Remove all loose paint. The surface to be coated must be dry, clean, and free of grease, oil, and other foreign materials. o INCLUDE the orange and yellow slide's full "interior" (top) and exterior. INCLUDE the exterior ONLY of the Green and red slide. o INCLUDE the entry and exit areas ONLY on the Red parts of the green and red slide. o EXCLUDE the red interior of the green tube (except for the entry & exit areas). 6.) 1-story Dunk Tank / Smaller Slide Area - 1-story Dunk Tank and all other Miscellaneous Smaller Water Features (smaller dump buckets, fountain area waterfall pipes, rope ladder area pipes, lazy river pipes, eye-wash station) in the Water Park Area: o Prepare & paint (4) four coats to EVERY surface using (4) four colors (red, white, gray, and black), including Staircases / Railings / Posts / Bollards / Roofing / Ceilings. o Exposed Water Pipes / Dunk Tanks. o Slides (interior and exterior). Specifications 1) Metal Structure supporting Slides: a. Primer: PPG PMC Amerlock 2 Fast Dry, Surface Tolerant, High Solids Epoxy, 4.0 - 8.0 mils DFT. b. Finish: PPG PMC PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane, 3.0 - 7.0 mils DFT. 2) Staircase and Railings: a. Primer: PPG PMC Amerlock 2 Fast Dry, Surface Tolerant, High Solids Epoxy, 4.0 - 8.0 mils DFT. b. Finish: PPG PMC PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane, 3.0 - 7.0 mils DFT. 3) Water Slides: a. Primer: PPG PMC Amerlock 2 Fast Dry, Surface Tolerant, High Solids Epoxy, 4.0 - 8.0 mils DFT. b. Finish: PPG PMC PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane, 3.0 - 7.0 mils DFT. 4) Metal Roof - 7 Buildings: a. Primer: PPG Pitt-Tech Plus Direct to Metal Primer & Flat Finish 4020PF. b. Finish: PPG Pitt-Tech Plus EP DTM Acrylic Semi-Gloss 90-1610 Series. c. Note: Multiple finish coats may be needed due to color changes. 5) Concrete Floors: a. Finish - 2 coats: PPG Aquapon WB EP Water Base Epoxy 98E-1 Series. b. Note: Broadcast anti-slip additive between first and second coats for non-slip finish. |
