Description

Work includes providing all labor, supervision, administration and management, and supplying all construction equipment, materials, and services necessary to perform the site development, underground duct and raceways, electrical work associated with equipment installation, and other miscellaneous items of work related to substation construction. Lake Highland Substation Site clearing and grubbing. Foundation surveying and staking. Earthwork. Installation of cast-in-place concrete retaining walls and pre-cast concrete security wall columns and wall panels, including decorative entrance gates. Drainage structures and piping Asphalt driveways. Cast in place concrete foundations and equipment bases. Drilled pier concrete foundations. Construction of a masonry block control equipment enclosure including furnishing and installing the following equipment: HVAC units. 125 volt station batteries. AC and DC power panelboards including surge protection. 400A automatic transfer switch. Fire Extinguishers, Smoke detectors, and intrusion alarms. Lighting system. 600 volt wiring for building lighting system and receptacles. Raceway system and grounding. Battery room eyewash facility. Installation of OUC furnished switchboard panels, communications panels, and substation automation and SCADA cabinets. Substation steel structure assembly and erection. Shield masts and shield wire. Pre-cast concrete lighting/security camera poles and wall mounted lighting fixtures. Installation of outdoor electrical equipment including the following: Two (2) 230kV power breakers, including high voltage jumper conductors, raceway, and grounding connections. Seven (7) 230kV disconnect switches, with two (2) auxiliary drum switches with junction boxes, including raceway and grounding connections. One (1) 230kV cable terminator support structure, with three (3) insulators, three (3) surge arresters, six (6) optical current transformers with two (2) junction boxes, including bus work, high voltage jumper conductor, raceway, and grounding connections. Three (3) 230kV coupling capacitor voltage transformers, with one (1) junction box, including high voltage jumper conductor, raceway, and grounding connections. 230kV High buswork (schedule 80 aluminum) and low buswork (schedule 40 aluminum) including support insulators, A-Frames, and bus hardware. Four (4) 115kV power breakers, including high voltage jumper conductors, raceway, and grounding connections o Thirteen (13) 115kV disconnect switches, with four (4) auxiliary drum switches with junction boxes, including raceway and grounding connections. o Two (2) 115kV double cable terminator steel support structures, with three (3) surge arresters, including high voltage jumper conductor and grounding connections. o Twelve (12) 115kV potential transformers, with four (4) junction boxes, including high voltage jumper conductor, raceway, and grounding connections. o 115kV High buswork (schedule 80 aluminum) and low buswork (schedule 40 aluminum), including support insulators, A-Frames, and bus hardware. o 230/115kV autotransformer’s high and low voltage jumper conductor, raceway, and grounding connections. • Switchyard cable trench and raceway system. • Two (2) precast concrete OUC standard distribution manhole installations, including cutting existing concrete encased Korduct duct bank #1 interface with Manhole #1. • Installation of distribution power duct banks #2 and #4, including cutting and extending existing concrete encased PVC duct bank #2. • Switchyard grounding system. • Two (2) 150 kVA, 12.47kV-208/120-volt, pad mount station service transformers, with interlock system. • Pulling, testing, and terminating OUC furnished 300 volt and 600 volt power/control cabling. • Direct buried switchyard lighting cabling. • Testing of equipment • Switchyard aggregate surfacing. • Site final grading and soil stabilization. • Removal of site temporary perimeter fencing at completion of the project. Weber Substation • Aggregate surfacing removal and stockpiling. • Foundation surveying and staking • Earthwork. • Removal and disposal of existing above grade and below grade foundations and grade beams that may interfere with installation of the new foundations. • Removal and relocation of existing conduit that may interfere with installation of the new foundations. • Drilled pier concrete foundations. • Substation steel structure assembly and erection. • Removal of outdoor electrical equipment including the following during phase 1 construction: o One (1) 115kV disconnect switch (Existing DS 01-502), auxiliary drum switch with junction box, including raceway and grounding connections. o Six (6) 115kV brown bus support insulators. o 115kV aluminum buswork, including A-Frames and bus hardware. o Removal of two (2) 150 kVA, 12.47kV-208/120-volt, pad mount station service transformers, with interlock system during sequential outages. • Installation of outdoor electrical equipment including the following during phase 1 construction: o One (1) 115kV disconnect switch, with auxiliary drum switch with junction box, including raceway and grounding connections. o One (1) 115kV double cable terminator steel support structure, with three (3) surge arresters, including high voltage jumper conductor and grounding connections. o Three (3) 115kV potential transformers, with junction box, including high voltage jumper conductor, raceway, and grounding connections. o 115kV aluminum buswork, including support insulators, A-Frames, and bus hardware. o Replace six (6) 115kV bus insulator from existing 3-phase bus support structures. o Two (2) 150 kVA, 12.47kV-208/120-volt, pad mount station service transformers, with interlock system modifications during sequential outages. • Removal of outdoor electrical equipment including the following during phase 2 construction: o One (1) 115kV three phase bus support, including existing insulators, aluminum buswork, A-frames, bus hardware, and grounding connections. o One (1) 115kV three phase cable terminator structure, including three (3) surge arresters and grounding connections (OUC to remove the three 115kV cable terminators and insulating oil.) o Three (3) 115kV brown bus support insulators. • Installation of outdoor electrical equipment including the following during phase 2 construction: o One (1) 115kV double cable terminator steel support structure, with three (3) surge arresters, including high voltage jumper conductor and grounding connections. o 115kV aluminum buswork, including support insulators, A-Frames, and bus hardware. Replace three (3) 115kV bus insulator from existing 3-phase bus support structures. Modifications and additions to the switchyard raceway system. Modifications and additions to the switchyard grounding system. Pulling and testing OUC furnished 300 volt and 600 volt power/control cabling, OUC will terminate the 300 volt and 600 volt power/control cabling. Testing of equipment Aggregate surfacing resurfacing.
