Description

As of August 14, 2023, this project has been awarded. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of New Port Richey, Florida is seeking competitive bids from licensed contractors to provide all construction items. This will include development of a 1.18-acre site to include but not limited to paving, concrete curbs, stormwater system, landscaping, sidewalks, site lighting and utilities associated with building. As well as construction of a new Fire Station Building: Total 7,876 S.F.: Includes, but not limited to, masonry walls, open web steel joists, standing seam metal roofs, single-ply low-slope roofs, exterior doors, aluminum windows, wood doors, tile, carpeted floors, toilet rooms, offices, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical services as shown on the project drawings. The Project is located within the City of New Port Richey, Florida, 5220 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey, FL 34652. The Work is generally described as furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services and incidentals including warranty, necessary to provide the Owner with the items shown on plans and details for the Fire Station No. 2 Relocation Project. All work shall be in accordance with the construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. To ensure that Bidders receive all addenda and/or clarifications to the Bid Documents in a timely manner, it is mandatory that all bidders provide an e-mail to Jessica Styron with Spring Engineering, Inc. at jstyron@springengineeringinc.com and obtain at least one set of Bid Documents from Spring Engineering's office to be eligible to bid on this project. Addendum will be issued by e-mail; therefore, it is imperative that the bidder provide his/her email to Spring Engineering's Office. Return of the Bid Documents is not required, and the amount paid for the Bid Documents is non- refundable. Call 727-938-1516 for further details to coordinate obtaining a set of Contract Documents. Each bid must be submitted, in triplicate, on the prescribed Proposal forms and accompanied by Bid Security on the prescribed form, payable to the City of New Port Richey, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the base bid amount. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the Architect of Record will conduct such investigations as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and scope of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the Architect of Record to evaluate the Bidder's qualifications. The City of New Port Richey reserves the right to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not extend beyond 90 days from the Proposal opening date. Contractor shall include Owner as additional insured party on the Certificate of Insurance. All insurance coverage shall be written by companies licensed to do business in Florida and shall be administered by a Florida registered agent. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by state statues. The right is reserved to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time, which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the Proposal opening date. The general scope of work consists of total of: o Site: Develop a 2.44-acre site to include but not limited to paving, concrete curbs, stormwater system, landscaping, sidewalks, site lighting and utilities associated with building. o New Dental Clinic: Total 11,482 S.F.: Includes, but not limited to, masonry walls, light gauge steel trusses, exterior doors, aluminum windows, wood doors, tile, carpeted floors, toilet rooms, offices, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical services, and roofing. Addendum #1 has been issued as of 12-30-2022.
