Description

This solicitation is part of the DC Clean Rivers Project for controlling combined sewer overflows (CSOs) to the District’s receiving waters. DC Water constructed several Green infrastructure (GI) facilities to manage major storm events in the Rock Creek and Potomac River sewersheds. As part of the construction associated with the implementation of this plan, DCCR has constructed GI facilities to manage the stormwater at its project sites and along Irving Street NW, to mitigate flooding in the Bloomingdale and LeDroit Park neighborhoods. The GI facilities are designed to reduce runoff volumes currently discharged to the collection system by temporarily capturing, infiltrating and evapotranspiration of stormwater before it discharges to the District’s waters and enters DC Water’s combined sewer system The scope of the GI Maintenance solicitation is to select two Contractors who will be responsible for maintaining a combination bioretention, pervious pavements, green roof plantings and infrastructure, dry wells, flow restriction devices, overflow risers, inlets, inflow channels, and various types of GI facilities and stormwater underdrain systems, including local sewer connections at each GI facility.
