Cumberland County Technical Education Center CTE Stem Expansion

a. Area 1 consists of 3,882 square foot conversion of (3) three existing Allied Health classrooms into Tech classrooms and labs. Demolition is limited to removal of selective existing casework and built-in furniture. Work in this area includes construction of a new storage room, new casework, and work counters. Additional work involves installation of underslab electrical and data ducts throughout each of the three classrooms as well as electric /data surface raceways. All data wiring is to be included in the scope of work. Flooring is limited to installation of vinyl tiles at areas disturbed by under slab work. Ceiling work is limited to minor repairs at removed items and ceiling at new storage room. This work is to be completed by August 19, 2022. b. Area 2 consists of demolition of the interior of 5,292 square feet of existing board office area. Demolition includes all interior partitions, ceilings, floors. Extensive removal of mechanical and electrical devices is included in the demolition work. Plumbing demolition includes removal of (3) three single fixture toilet rooms. New work involves the construction of a Makerspace Suite including (1) one classroom, (1) one lab and (1) one shop as well as support spaces. Additional work involves installation of underslab electrical and data ducts throughout the classroom and lab as well as electric /data surface raceways. All data wiring is to be included in the scope of work. Electrical work includes multiple electric panels and two transformers. New plumbing is limited to hand sinks and emergency showers. Contractor is to provide a temporary barrier between the work area and gym lobby prior to start of school and it shall be removed when all work is complete. This work is to be completed by December 19, 2022.
