Community Center Tennis Court Restoration

1. Site Preparation: The scope of work includes all site work required for the project, including complete removal of 3 existing tennis courts, all fencing within the 3-court footprint, 2 fixed cabanas; and topical preparation for the 4th court to be resurfaced only. Any poor soil shall be removed and replaced with suitable compactable fill material. Additional fill material shall be added to bring the pad up to the proper slope and elevation for water shed. 2. Subgrade: The subgrade should be prepared in accordance with local building techniques to provide a stable, well drained pad for the new tennis courts. The final prepared subgrade shall be free of any organic or non-compactable material. Fine grading shall be done with laser-controlled equipment. 3. Construction: Post tension concrete for 3 tennis courts- install 2” leveling base course, 1-layer 15-mill poly sheeting vapor retarder, and 5” inch thick post tensioned concrete slab. Finish with RSS color surface game lines. Install 10’ fencing around perimeter of the 3 courts with 4 entrance/exit points. Re-Install 2 cabanas. Resurface 4th tennis court. Colors for all products will be the choice of the City of Glenwood Springs. 4. Responsibility: The City will be responsible for any permits and necessary compliance costs. Community Center Court Dimensions: Courts 1-3 total dimension: 182’ X 122’ to the outer edge of the fence lines. (Complete renovation needed) Court 4 dimension: 120’ X 60’ to the outer edge of the fence line. (Recoat only)
