City of Statesboro is soliciting bids from experienced and qualified General Contractors who are interested in submitting a proposal and entering into a contract for demolishing damaged exterior stucco, replacing with new stucco and paint, replacing or repairing damaged wood trim, repainting all window sashes on second and third floors, and repairing loose, broken, and missing tile at Theatre entrance. Forward all questions to the architect Performance, Payment, and a 5% Bid Bond shall be required. It is the intent of the City of Statesboro to encourage participation by minority and female owned business enterprises (MFBE) for all procurement processes. The construction phase of this project shall include a minimum 20% minority or female business enterprise participation of total construction cost. All submittals for this ITB must include a statement acknowledging compliance with 20% MFBE requirement at time for submittal of sealed bids. Upon submittal of sealed bids pre-qualified contractors will be required to provide proof of MFBE certification if general/prime contractor is a certified MFBE or provide list of MFBE sub-contractors, identify % of participation by each sub-contractor and proof of minority or female owned business certification for proof of compliance with this section requirement.
