Description

* All bids rejected. Project to rebid in Spring 2023. The TOWN OF POCA (Herein after referred to as Owner) invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids to provide all Work, limited to labor and transportation ONLY for: TOWN OF POCA STORMWATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT All materials, including but not limited to Inlets, Manholes, Pipe, Stone, Asphalt, and Concrete will be paid for and furnished by the Owner. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Engineer and this Invitation to Bid. The work will be bid as follows: Limited removal of existing stormwater facilities and constructing new drainage pipes inlets and other improvements at the following locations: BASE BID - Poca Circle, Holley Street, and Corey Drive. ALTERNATE BID - Richard Drive (2 Locations), Pine Drive (2 Locations), and Muggins Avenue. The Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, payable to the Town of Poca, Poca, West Virginia, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Other bidding requirements are outlined in the Project Manual. All Prime Bidders MUST attend the Pre-Bid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project locations, site conditions and other relevant information. Should any Bidder fail to attend, their Bid will be disqualified. The low responsive bidder and all subcontractors must pay the West Virginia Department of Labor minimum wage rates as established for Putnam County, pursuant to West Virginia Code 21-5-1 et.seq. Each bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids to be considered. Each bidder's Contractor license number and bidder's registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days.
