Description | The City of Coachella has prepared this Request for Proposals and is requesting proposals from qualified and interested consultants or firms1 to prepare a series of pre-approved detached Accessory Dwelling (ADU) Unit architectural plans. All Proposers shall be properly licensed for the performance of the Services in accordance with California law. he scope of services sought under this RFP are set forth in more detail in attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. The City seeks qualified consultants to work collaboratively with city staff for the design and preparation of a Accessory Dwelling Unit architectural plans consistent with the City of Coachellas ADU Ordinance 1150 and development standards and incorporating compatibility with the existing architectural styles around the city. The goal of creating these pre-approved ADU plans is to expedite the plan check process and to reduce the cost of building new ADUs in the City of Coachella. Notwithstanding the inclusion of such Services in the RFP, the final scope of Services negotiated between City and the successful Proposer shall be set forth in the Professional Services Agreement executed by and between City and the successful Proposer. A copy of the Agreement is attached hereto as and incorporated herein by this reference. Certain labor categories under this project may be subject to prevailing wages as identified in the State of California Labor Code commencing at sections 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq. If applicable, employees working in these categories at the site must be paid not less than the basic hourly rates of pay and fringe benefits established by the California Department of Industrial Relations. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. As of September 30, 2022, the due date and time has been confirmed with the owner. This project is for pre-approved plans for ADU units to be constructed on the personal property of a homeowner. |
