Description | ADA Curb Ramps and Adjacent Sidewalk Panels This project will be funded wholly with Federal money under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). All materials furnished and labor performed incidental to and required by the proper and satisfactory execution of the Contract to be made shall be furnished and performed in accordance with requirements from the Drawings and Specifications included with these Contract Documents. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the bid opening without written consent of the Fishers Board of Public Works. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Fishers, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) or the total amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Bid Guaranty will be returned to unsuccessful bidders upon selection of the successful bidder. Bid Guaranty of the successful bidder will be returned upon the signing of contracts and submission of performance and payment bonds to the City of Fishers. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders prior to the award of a Contract. Attention is called to the fact that no less than minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this Project and that the Contractor must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Contractor/bidders shall be aware that this project is covered under the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Act. All laborers, mechanics, and personnel working on this project shall be paid at a minimum according to the prevailing wages indicated in the Wage Decision contained in the project manual. The work to be performed under this Contract is on a Project assisted under a program providing direct Federal financial assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the Affirmative Action Requirements contained in Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u and Executive Order 11246, as amended. Women and Minority Owned businesses qualified to perform the work contemplated by this solicitation are encouraged to Bid. The City of Fishers reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. |
