Deerfield Park Maintenance Facility - 23-P&R-05 - Town of Smithfield

Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field. With the merge of Parks, Recreation and school grounds, there is a need for a new facility. The new building would be located in Deerfield Park behind Veterans and Youth Memorials in the vacant sand bank area or an alternate location. The building would include 6 garage bays and a full maintenance area. Access to the facility would be from the existing roadway opposite the existing maintenance garage. This project is in included in the Town of Smithfield FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 29, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
