Description | Sodium Phosphate - The quantity of material covered by these specifications shall be the requirements for the Reading Area Water Authority for the calendar year 2023. Bid Bond, certification of non-indebtedness, non-collusion affidavit, and non-discrimination statement are included in the Specifications document. The quantity of material covered by these specifications shall be the requirements for the Reading Area Water Authority for the calendar year 2023 and will amount to approximately twenty five thousand (25,000) gallons more or less. The above estimate is provided for information purposes only and shall not be construed in any way as a commitment on the part of the Reading Area Water Authority to purchase like amounts for the contract period. The bidder shall submit a finished water analysis along with the bid. This analysis shall be used to determine product requirements as noted in Appendix C. The finished water sample shall be obtained at the Reading Area Water Authority Filtration Plant through coordination with Mr. Neil Quaintance, Chief Operator,(610-406- 6334). The bidder shall submit treatment recommendations along with bid, based upon the results of item (1) above. All bidders shall provide with their bid, a guaranteed performance statement. Successful bidder shall be required to supply with the contract a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract guaranteeing effective performance of its material. The contractor shall provide field service involving a corrosion monitoring program and technical assistance throughout the duration of the contract. This field service shall include the activities shown in Item (5) as well as consulting to the Reading Area Water Authority and its designated engineer on an as required basis. This consulting may require attendance at meetings in Reading. These activities will be accomplished at no cost to the Reading Area Water Authority. The contractor shall provide monthly water sampling, laboratory testing and analysis throughout the duration of the contract. This will be accomplished at no cost to the Reading Area Water Authority The Reading Area Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects in any bids which the authority, in its sole discretion does not consider to be material defects. The Reading Area Water Authority shall have the right to continue to purchase Sodium Phosphate from the successful vendor for an additional three months following termination of the contract on the same terms as set forth in the contract. RAWA shall have the option, at their sole discretion, of a one (1) year (calendar year 2024) extension at the bid price on the same terms as set forth in the contract.
