Description

This project will evaluate alternative asphalt-based solutions, both thicker asphalt mixtures and thinner asphalt-based surface treatments, that may provide similar frictional benefits to HFSTs, but with reduced cost and/or increased durability. Specifically, this project will explore potential high friction aggregate options that could be used in Florida and can be incorporated into asphalt mixtures and/or surface treatments.
