Description

a. Remove existing unit, furnish and install a new, Trane 60 ton air cooled chiller, refer to Exhibit “1”, Model# CGAM060F2 or PBC approved. b. Remove and replace existing Taco Buffer Tank, refer to Exhibit “2”. Model# BTH0150F025-125N or PBC approved equal c. Remove existing unit and dispose of according to local guidelines, as well as Section 5. d. Remove and re-attach the existing lightning protection system. The contractor will provide lightning protection recertification certificate. e. Test, remove, reinstall and test the fire alarm devices, when applicable. This will be performed with ESS technician on site. f. Replace the existing electrical disconnect, connectors, sealtite conduit and wire from the disconnect to the unit. g. Provide all necessary piping, electrical and control wiring to make the system fully operational per manufacturer’s specifications. h. All penetrations shall be sealed and patched to meet code requirements. i. Document system pressures and running load amps and provide a report to the project manager. j. System shall be started after installation is complete, and tested for proper operation with Project Manager present. k. Replace all existing chilled water shut off butterfly valves. l. Contractor to reconfigure chilled water piping to new chillers chilled water connections and maintain emergency connection points for future use. m. Chilled water pipes shall be insulated foam glass type insulation. Chilled water pipes to have aluminum jacketing where needed. n. Replace existing air separator. o. Replace existing check valve with same type or PBC approved equal p. Replace existing water flow switches with same type or PBC approved equal. q. New chiller to be connected to current BAS to provide a fully operational system r. Temporary chiller to be in place and in operation prior and during construction to maintain building cooling at all times.
