Description | Rehabilitation of four (4) residential homes in South Sioux City, NE. This work is being nanced through U.S. Dept. Housing and Urban Development -- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (NE DED). Contractor and/or subcontractor must hold a current Contractor's license in Nebraska and South Sioux City. It is the policy of the City of South Sioux City to promote the opportunity for full participation by minorities and women business enterprises in all housing and community development programs.Minorities and women business enterprises are encouraged to bid. In Federal funded contracts, the City of South Sioux City and any contractor will adhere to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act, as applicable. To be eligible for projects requiring disruption of surfaces containing lead-based paint, a bidder must be a Certied Lead Safe Renovators or Lead Abatement Workers certied by DHHS. Radon Mitigation Systems must be installed by licensed Radon Mitigation Businesses as on record with DHHS of Nebraska. This information is available in Spanish or any other language upon request.
