On Fourth Floor, one existing instrument washer, two low temperature sterilization units and one ultrasonic cleaner will be removed and relocated to Fifth Floor. Additional work will provide a partition between the existing decontamination area and the equipment dumbwaiters to create a new Soiled Holding room for storage of soiled waste. All Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical work associated with this relocation and space division shall be included. The remainder of the space on Fourth Floor will become Sterile Supply. A total of 1115 SF on Fourth Floor will be renovated. On Fifth Floor, the decontamination area will be reconfigured to accommodate new equipment, a Downing area added at the entry to decontamination, equipment relocated in the clean workroom, and a cooling area added on the sterile side of the sterilizers. All Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical work associated with this work flow reorganization shall be included. A total of 2660 SF on Fifth Floor will be renovated. An Alternate Bid will be received to provide new ceiling grid and tile, as well as lighting and ce ng mounted devices in the Clean Workroom. An additional Alternate Bid will be received to re-terminate the existing data outlets within the Fifth Floor Central Processing Department from the old data closet to the newer data closet. An Informational Alternate Bid will be received to modify the cross-corridor doors outside the Sterile Processing Department to provide a larger entry into the department to lac tate transport of soiled carts into the decontamination area. An additional Informational Alternate Bid will be received to provide maintenance, cleaning, taping and sealing, and motor, belt, and sheave replacement on the HRU-004 exhaust system.
