Description | You are invited to bid on the Sidewalk and Storm Sewer Renovations at the Prophetstown Lyndon Tampico Community Unit School District No.3 building located at 310 West Riverside Drive in Prophetstown Illinois. Demolition and replacement of existing sidewalks, new upgraded storm sewers on the East side of the building. Cleaning of existing brick facade, as well as jetting and interconnection of new systems to existing systems. Lump sum bids will be received as follows: GC-1 General Construction The Owner reserves the right to accept Bidder's Base Bid, accept any one or more of the Bidder's Alternate Bid's, reject any or all Bids, award contract based on its investigation of the Bidder's, as well as acceptance of Alternates all of which the Owner deems to be in its best interest and waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the Bids and waive minor irregularities in the bidding procedure, all at the Owner's discretion. Proposals shall be prepared in accordance with contract documents prepared by Bray Associates Architects, 1465 41 st street Suite 10, Moline IL 61265. A certified check, a cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bond within ten days after the award of contract. Prevailing Wage Rates: A. All Contractors must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates as established by the Illinois Department of Labor. Contractor shall submit with each payment request the weekly payroll forms required by the Davis-Bacon Act (40-U.S.C. 327 et seq. (1982)). Payroll form WH-347 or similar information. Payroll forms shall be submitted (one copy) for each person employed on the jobsite by each contractor and all subcontractors. Illinois Preference Act: A. All contractors, subcontractors, and those supplying labor to this project shall comply with the "Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act" (30 ILCS 570/) commonly referred to as the Illinois Preference Act.
