Description

Nebraska Public Power District (DISTRICT) is soliciting bids for grading services to expand the existing Sterling 115KV Substation site near Sterling, Nebraska. o Remove rock from outside of existing fence on the north side of the substation and place in location as directed by the DISTRICT'S Inspector. o Remove vegetation and strip top 8" of soil from area being expanded. Estimated at 195 cubic yards. o Remove approximately 50'-0" of existing berm. See note 7 and "Typical Section Thru Berm" detail on DIR 492013702. o Perform grading per drawing 492013702. o Estimated cut volume is 236 cubic yards. o Estimated fill volume is 57 cubic yards. o Estimated excess cut volume excess is 179 cubic yards. o Supply and install 210 Linear feet of silt fence and 95 Linear Feet of straw bale ditch checks for erosion control per the grading plan shown on DIR 492013702. o All excess material shall be removed from site. o See DIR 490061771 for Plat of Survey. Existing fence shall remain in place during grading activity. The CONTRACTOR shall be required to attend a preconstruction meeting to be held prior to the start of the work. The CONTRACTOR shall have an updated certificate of insurance before coming on site. The grading work for the Sterling substation can start no sooner than May 1, 2023,
