| Description | Contractor shall provide welding and tethering services to the City of Mesa on an as needed basis. Contractor shall: 1. Remove grate from frame 2. Clean area to be welded by removing all debris, paint, rust, and galvanizing 3. Weld a 5/16’’ x 2’6’’(30’’) zinc plated, grade thirty (30) chain to grate and frame Steel - use 7018 welding rod Cast iron - drill and use ½ x 2’’ zinc plated nut and bolt to tether chain to grate 4. Remove any slag from welds 5. Paint welds with RUST-OLEM cold galvanizing compound spray or approved equal 6. Ensure no fires have been ignited 7. Place storm drain grate into frame 8. Clean area of any debris. |
