Description

These projects propose the construction of new sections of 3' wide, sustainable, multi-use trail in the Allegheny County Parks. Projects may cross small ephemeral streams, drainages, abandoned mine land features (pits, high walls, debris piles), seasonally wet areas, or steep slopes. Much of the work will consist of corridor vegetation clearing and earthwork to establish trail tread. Tread work may include: cutting new tread, establishing out slope, creating drains (dips and knicks) and rollers, creating rock drains, creating elevated tread, creating switchbacks or climbing turns. Period of Contract: May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2023.
